As I am about to enter into my next decade, 40, I did some reflecting. As a busy mother of three, an entrepreneur, wife, daughter, sister, friend, dog mom, and all the other things I am, I wanted to make sure that 40 was going to feel different.
I crave more time to relax and enjoy life.
I want to feel better physically, mentally, and emotionally.
I want to be a super role model for my daughters.
I want to coach all of my clients to success.
I want to walk the talk and live a great life!
But lately, I’ve been struggling. The busy lifestyle that I have plus the world right now (currently still navigating the pandemic) has put me into a state of stress, overwhelm, and anxiety.
I know I’m not alone. I see you out there, struggling too.
I decided that I wanted to make a shift. I intentionally took some time to look at my lifestyle and found some gaps in terms of self-care that I’d love to fill.
Why? Because these are gaps that can be filled with things that bring me joy, help me cope, allow my body to function and perform better, and mentally put me in a better headspace.
I have committed to filling these 4 gaps every single day between now and my birthday (40 Days) so that I can walk into my 40s feeling like the best version of myself.
Curious to know what the 4 things are? Here it goes: 1. Drink 2 litres of water per day.
2. Spend time every day writing in my gratitude journal.
3. Complete 30 minutes of physical activity.
4. Follow my personal meal plan.
